BIG RED's Window Restoration Fundraiser
October 25, 2026
1 - 3pm
For nearly 90 years, the windows of BIG RED have stood watch over Lake Michigan. Installed in 1936, they endured decades of wind, weather, and changing seasons while helping define one of Michigan's most treasured landmarks. Today, these historic windows are in need of replacement and we have come to you to ask for your partnership in this endeavor.
We invite you to join us for a special fundraising tour on Sunday, October 25, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, benefiting the BIG RED Window Restoration Project.
This exclusive opportunity is limited to just 16 vehicles, making it one of the most unique ways to support the preservation of BIG RED.
To reserve your tour spot, we are asking for a minimum donation of $100 per vehicle.
Every donation helps preserve BIG RED's historic windows. For those wishing to leave an even greater legacy, additional recognition levels are available. These sponsorship opportunities provide enhanced benefits, special recognition, and a unique opportunity to become part of BIG RED's history.
This special event is limited to only 16 cars! Claim your spot by completing your donation today!

ABOUT THE EVENT
As you know, parking is extremely limited, and access has been granted for just 16 parking spaces. Each vehicle must have a confirmed reservation and a processed donation through the Community Foundation of Holland/Zeeland before parking is assigned and the tour reservation is confirmed.
Once your donation has been received and confirmed, you will be assigned a tour start time between 1PM and 2 PM and provided with additional event details.
Tour Requirements
Due to the unique location of Big Red, participants should be aware that visiting the lighthouse can be physically demanding. The BIG RED Tour is considered a moderate to challenging level of activity.
Participants should be prepared to walk up to one-mile round trip over sandy and uneven surfaces, as well as climb steep stairs.
Lake Michigan weather conditions can change quickly and should always be considered when planning your visit.
For these reasons, the tour may not be suitable for individuals with mobility limitations or for those who are uncomfortable walking on uneven terrain or climbing stairs.
Please note that the tour will take place rain or shine.
BIG RED has no on-site restroom facilities or running water. Please plan accordingly.
HOW THE EVENT WORKS
STEP 1: Complete the form above and make your donation pledge
STEP 2: Fulfill your donation pledge ASAP to secure your spot as one of the first 16
STEP 3: If you are one of the first 16 completed donations, we will notify you via email and assign you a tour start time between 1pm and 2pm on October 25th, 2026 for your BIG RED tour.
